Our Vision:

Kafaalo’s vision is to give every orphan or neglected child in Somalia a safe home, help them to a brighter future and help take part in the improvement of their local society.

• Help the children take more part in the local society.
• Making sure the children become more independent in the future.
• Help them in getting a better education thus preparing for the future.
• Building the self esteem of these children.

Strategic goals

Kafaalo has set as a goal in strengthening the orphan children’s position in Somalia and obtaining a right to education.

• Opening/Building orphanages in places where the need is most acute.
• Orphans right to education.
• Rights of orphan children in conflict areas.

Organisational goals:

The following points will show how Kafaalo sees best as achieving the strategies set forth. In order to achieve the best result for the children these strategies have to be fulfilled. Each point in our strategy has an end result which has to be achieved. This result oriented approach will facilitate an easier supervision and control within the projects.

Work principals

• Kafaalo will contribute to give every orphan regardless of gender a home and a save environment to grow up in.
• Planning a long term strategy for the orphans thus preparing for the future.
• Building orphanages for the orphans.
• Educating the orphans.
• Securing and making safe the local environment around the orphans.
• Ensuring the increase of more sponsors who will help the orphans in our Orphanage Project.
• Increasing the communication and contact between the donors/sponsors and the aid receivers.

• Kafaalo will primarily be financed by our members who are made up of orphan sponsors, well wishers, and friendly donors.
• Public donations are also another source of income but Kafaalo will focus primarily on its’ private sponsors.
• Kafaalo will maintain a high ethical working standard, openness both economically and organisational wise.
• Good supervision and control of the flow of money between the donors and the receivers.
• Kafaalo Norway will ensure and encourage a quality driven project management.
